AUSTRALIA NEW ZEALAND ARMY CORP = ANZAC

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning . . .
We will remember them. . . . . .
Lest we forget.

We will remember them. . . . . .
Lest we forget.

Those are my dad's World War 2 medals (New Zealand) on the top and my youngest son's Iraq medals below, sitting on a quilt made from recycled Australian Army shirts that Aaron took to Iraq with him.

  1. How proud you must be of them both.

  2. Small pieces of metal and ribbon, but such a meaning for each one. They represent so much - lives willing to stand up and fight for our freedom. A treasure to have, Del.
